Millions of Displaced Workers Since 2007

A biennial report released today [.pdf] concerning the number of displaced workers has revealed that over 6.9 million Americans lost their jobs between January 2007 and December 2009, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. “Displaced workers” only includes people who lost their job due to insufficient work demand, a company move, or abolished positions.
