Georgia Governor’s Race Tied

An Insider Advantage poll shows Democratic nominee Roy Barnes even with Republican nominee Nathan Deal at 42% in Georgia’s gubernatorial sprint. Since the previous poll between these candidates showed Deal ahead 45% to 41%, the results of the new poll indicates an improvement for Barnes. Barnes served as Georgia’s Governor from 1999-2003, whereas Deal served Georgia for 9 terms in the House.

The poll telephoned 632 registered voters this past Thursday and has a ±3.6% margin of error.
